AM: Hell Hole hills 4x1 min, 5x 30 sec. not too shabby! felt sore at first but the more we got into it, i just forgot about my soreness. It was more about pushing up the hill and keep pushing over the hill. Got me thinking about state and all the other races with hills. can't wait! Stoner got me going when she started off by saying 'let's go mia'. You can't turn down an invitation, even if she kills the hills. It felt nice getting back into work outs though :)

PM: 3 miles out to the river with JP and Stoner. but before we even got to running, we kinda creeped on Kaylee and helped her out, in a way :) anyways, we ran to the river and cause it was flooded the current was pretty strong. And the water looked like chocolate milk. seriously, you can't even see a outline of your body when you get in. you actually can't even see anything! thrilling right? ya, exactly what stoner and jp took it as. so we did some childish stuff and messed around. On our way back we found a wounded bird and took it to stoners house to nurse back to life. 10 min after jp and i left, we got a text of the memorial service of our poor birdy named Luck.

am: hills 3x30sec, 5x1min then 3ish on grass. Hill work out was pretty good. practiced controlling my breathing and the grass felt nice. right calve got tight but will just need to stretch more. Not to sore from yesterdays plyos. actually think it helped me get over monday's plyos.

pm: 3 miles church to river again with JP and Stoner but before we got together we watched the womens 10K!!! holy cow. EPIC. Dibaba is out of this world. That's pretty much all we talked about for the rest of the run. yup, inspiration.

starting at 10am.. JP and i started our run out to chevron! It was actually really great! It wasn't too hot and there was a cool breeze too. We found a sprinkler so we drenched ourselves and at chevron we poured water on ourselves so we could have a good tempo, which turned out alright! it was mostly down hill but it just made us go that much faster when it got flat. after our tempo we chilled at the river for a while. I think that's our new favorite place. So lucky to live so close to it!! anyways, run was very good! :)

Here i am at a cafe in six flags! writing about my run... i went running with my brother and also did striders! props to myself and my bro. It's been great in Cali if you were wondering. the end.

sorry coach! Running in california requires a guardian of some sort (that's only if i don't want to get stolen) and my brother got pretty sore after our first run together. But i still worked out! I went river rafting, walked a ton at magic moutain, boogie board, walked around a HUGE outlet mall, swam and learned how to dive (i know, pretty embaressing that i never learned until now) and did AB RIPPER X (still sore). BUT when Kenny and i did go running, It was a hilly run out in the 100+ heat so i'm surprised i survived through that. Not the best running week but no worries, school starts and won't have anymore vacations for a long time!

supposibly 9 but as JP and i were strolling along and waiting to see our turn around.. it just never came! until we finally saw the guys and they freaked out and told us to turn around. They said the wrote it.. but it was in black. To bad the ground is black too. Anywho, had fun running with JP though! we talked and talked. the way back felt much much better. I'm always surpirsed when i actually finish a long run. When i start i feel like it'll be never ending, but i realize at the end there has to be an end! life lesson for you. legs felt bearable but now are just exhausted. stretch and ice bath sounds great.

afternoon run! plus plyos

3x2min w/ 1 min rec, 4x400 w/ 30 sec rec plus Harts warm/cool. Rachel told me this story yesterday and i kept repeating it in my head. You can ask her what the story was cause i don't feel like typing it but point of the story was saying 'I can, I can, I can' to yourself over and over. So i did, and i think it got my mind off of a lot of negative things that could've been on my mind. Oh but legs, way tired. ice bath tomorrow?

3 miles out in the heat. Where was this heat when i wanted it?! goodness. Gonna be back in the routine tomorrow with the morning pracitces and drinking, drinking, drinking, drinking.. water!

4 morning, 3 afternoon plus striders. I felt better in the morning but my legs are exhausted. claves were super tight throughout the whole afternoon run so gonna be doing a lot of stretching and roberts told me to remember to roll out. I remembered! that's a start. anywho, wasn't a big fan of today. OH! and my third toe is officially bruised with a blister. nasty! my brooks are doing something funky to my feet i guess..

first race of the season for me! Thought it was pretty decent way to start off. The race was fun, mostly dirt and road. First lap is always the worst but got myself into a groove and felt good! Proud that i kept Stoner in my sight throughout the whole race. Now that i know that i can do that, mind as well stick up with her right? So happy to see Kaylee, Rachel, Liz, and Abby supporting us! that was plus. but anyways, my legs felt fine, my breathing was manly cause i had a sore throat (but didn't bother me during the race) and i still need to improve my sprint at the end.. bleh. Only negative from the race that i'll take out of it is i got sick.. so hopefully i'll get better by mondays work out.

Work out 5:45 AM? who knew? well JP didn't. sorry girl! anywho, 6x 3min w/ 3min rec. pizza hut warm and cool (6 miles total). Hard work out but i'm feeling good! Staying up with JP and Stoner just gives me the giddys. hahaha, k no. Just makes me feel more confident. I gotta keep sticking up with them on every work out. My last one was a bleh just cause it was bleh. but! I know i can stick up with them, so i shall!

PM: it's just great having work outs in the mornings :) blessed coach. We ran sandburgs (3 mi) woooo!! jumped in, jumped out. worked out. plyoed.. out! OH! CODE... white gal run today. da best. or stoner calls it pribe? i think.. it was just dandy!!

AM: 4 miles with stoner and Jp. nice and easy. except when Martha pushed the pace. darn her.

PM: 8 miles total. 4.5ish warm up, 2 mile time trial and harts cool. did a lot of running today.. my legs are begging for mercy. time trial was bleh. i can do better but as of today, my mind was blocked with the thought of how tired i was. better sleep really! I need to keep getting closer to stoner.. not farther. bad bad bad. anywho, like what pete always says, i need to work on my mental toughness. maybe get a new brain, that'd be nice.

AM: 5 miles with 1/2mi fartleks. (its) RAINING (men...) HALLELUJAH! (that's a funny song) anyways, felt so so so so nice! It felt really good running fast but not breathing hard. I felt pain in my legs but it was the sweet pain, the pain you want more of. I really enjoyed todays work out other than afterwards realizing that everything is still wet..

PM: 3 miles out towards artic but psych you out and go towards harts. It was fun cause it was still raining! glorious rain! summer rain is just the best. I felt so good, i just wanted to keep running after the 3 was over. Went to work after and was in a really good mood surprisingly! probably surprised the old folks too. (i'm not a grouch, i promise!)

SUU today! saw Cam Levins, almost got an autograph... but we'll catch him later :) Had a false start at the beginning and had a hard time calming myself down afterwards. But the race started finally and we ran many loops. The "incline" stretch was probably the worst part. It hurt and was slow. I think us girls didn't start all that great because i should've been way up there, closer to deseret hills! But i felt strong throughout the middle and when the end came i felt nothing in my system and it was hard. The cedar girl that i tried to get away from all last year was in front of me and that ticked me off. so hopefully next race I'll remember how ticked off i was about having cedar in front of me. It was great being close to JP! i'm just gonna have to trust it more and stick up with them from the start! lots and lots of work to do. Stoner, JP and I had lunch over this discussion so hopefully we can do better with bonding with the other girls. Hopefully that'll help our gap. So anyways, i got a free shirt, saw Kaylee and Tyson and went to Cafe Rio.. it was a good day.

AM: 6x1000 (3:35,30,36,40,40,29) w/ 3 min rec and pizza hut warm/cool. woo.. glad that we do those in the mornings! other than tripping over every little rock that we can't see. Felt good sticking up with Stoner and JP for the first few and then getting behind cause i freaked out about my breathing. But coach gave a lot of little lectures about overcoming fear and pushing hard until you puke...so pretty much, i don't get to quit until i puke. anyways, the last two i redeemed myself by sticking up with stoner (but then loosing her at the freakin hill, dang it) and on the last one i couldn't let it go without pushing harder. freakin JP killed the last one! 3:17?!?!? holy moly. new goal, stick with JP and then i'll puke. anyways, pretty good work out. i know i can stick it up with stoner and jp more than i did today. It's great having two coaches run with us. Us girls discussed this in the locker room about how coach is breathing just fine while we do our 1000 then there's us breathing like we're drowning. it's great. makes me laugh.

PM: 3 miles out to everywhere... through sandstone, movie theater.. little G's house. it was great, on the way back. BUT! before the run, i had a surprising visitor in my shoe. SO here's the story. I went outside shoeless with Stoner and decided to plot myself down on the sidewalk. Mike was yelling at me to get my shoes on so i hurried.. and as i put on my left shoe (yes coach, i got my left shoe on.) i felt something in there so i took it off and stuck my hand in there to get what i thought would be a leaf... but it wasn't! instead it was a HUGE (i mean like 3-5 inches) cockroach!!! I screamed and threw that nasty thing into the fence but the saddest thing was that i didn't get to kill it! Poor thing, now it has to live knowing that it's the most hideous thing I've ever touched. gross.

PM: 5 miles with striders. dang hot. sandburgs with a layer of poop was very disappointing.

AM: 3x2min w/ 1 min rec + 4x400 w/ 30 sec rec. (4.5mi) stuck as a pack. it felt nice. until i went into the locker room and found that my toe is getting more raw. gross. ew. but it's okay. i don't feel like doing anything for it.

PM: 3 miles out to hot nails. theres a new place right by it called "finacial security". ya, that doesn't really go for a three mile name. Megan and i discussed this. anywho, we splashed water on each other but were dry before we even it the sun! holy hot. BUT while i was at work, i looked out the window and what did i see? (popcorn popping out the the apricote tree...NOT) RAIN! so sad i didn't get to run through it :( i got to enjoy it in a old folks point a view. very depressing.

am: 3 miles plus striders. striders in the morning? It's almost as good as a mango smoothie from emrold city. btw JP, we needa go by and tell him about soccer ;)

pm: 4 miles. it was hot but probably the best run! Roberts, Stoner and i were no stop talking from the turn around and back. We talked of kids, how many stoner and i want, roberts adorable daughters, kids attitudes, memories, etc. it was great! it went by so smoothly and fast i loved it! One of those runs that you don't notice your running.. anyways, my toe nail needs to hurry and come off. Plyos didn't help it from healing though. oh well.
